Führer Haupt Quartier Werewolf
Location: Vinnitsa, 900 km. South of Krakow, 10 kilometers north of Vinnytsia in the village of Stryzhavka;
When drinving south from Kiev to Vinnitsa you’ll see a new recidential area at your left and a small monument on the right side of the highway. About 50 meters more towards Vinnitsa is a small sandy road; follow that road a few hunded meters untill you get to the open space of the fomer Werewolf Haupt Quartier
Today: ruïns
One of Hitler's bunker during WWII was in Vinnitsa. Today, there’s not much more left of Werewolf than ruins in an open field. It is said, but we didn’t check it, that Hitler used the bunker on the following dates: 16 July to 27 September 1942, 4 October to 1 November 1942, 19 February 1943 to 22 February 1943, 25 February 1943 to 13 March 1943, 27 August 1943.

The Führer Haupt Quartier in Vinnitsa

Haupt Quartier Heeresgruppe Süd
Poltava (Poltavs’ka)
600 km. South of Vinnitsa
On December 2, 1941 Hitler visits the defeated Heeresgrüppe Süd in Rostow. Because of bad weather his plane has to land in Poltava, where Hitler spends the night. On June 3, 1942 Hitler visited the Heeresgruppe Süd in Poltava, because of an army victory near Charkov. On Februari 17, 1943 Hitler was supposed to visit Poltava again, but instead he went to Zaporozje.

Hitler visited Zaporozje on Februari 17 and in September 1943. On February 17 Hitler, under heavy security, flew to Army Group South's headquarters at Zaporozh'ye, Ukraine; just 30 miles away from the front-line.
